Title: Getting started: How can I play music files from the hard disc in random order?
Post by: Mate M. on December 16, 2023, 15:15:29
Dear AIMP professionals,

I've recently started using AIMP as teh central media player on my Windows 11 PC.
I have a whole drive full of music and would like to get AIMP to play random tracks on the fly.
The music files are stored in folders and subfolders.

Therefore, I don't just want to play a specific folder, but really all tracks (from different folders).
Is that possible?

AIMP is a old school player, based on playlists. For what You aim, You can add all Your files on disk MUSIC (H:) in one big playlist and listen it in shuffle mode.

Hey Choveka, hey Soolo,

Thanks for your tips. I have created a playlist that includes the entire drive with music. It works.

And is ist correct that AIMP plays a track that I double-click directly in Windows Explorer, but then continues the current playlist?
