Title: Add Apply button on file info
Post by: souregi on October 23, 2023, 18:11:28
Hello,

When I click on file info (using hot key) > Wave, then I edit the tags I want. But when I click on "Save" it saves but closes the little window. Can you add another button "Apply" that saves without closing the little Window.

Reason: I am correcting small transcriptions and I want to keep the little window on top.

You want to edit same file after saving?

No, i want to edit next one.

The scenario is this:
Press hot key File info
Click on Wave
Edit first file
Apply (without closing)
Selecting second file
Press hot key again to refresh tags on the little window
Apply (without closing)
...
And so on

Because also there is no hot key of File info > wave.

So adding apply button on the File info > Wave, or adding a hot key to File info > Wave would help me a lot.

Thank you a lot.

So, just select all files that you want to edit and invoke the File Information dialog.
In this case, the dialog will jump to next file on "save" and will keep tab that you activated:

I am not using Advanced Tag Editor because it seems that it does not have auto play next wav, it just plays one wav and it stops.

So I am using just the basic player. I am listening to wavs (auto play). Each wav has around 5 seconds and I am correcting their translations.

So I am listening and if there is an error on translation I have to press hot key File Info and then click on Wav onglet and edit the Title tag, which is a bit long.

So like I said if there was a Hot key that goes directly to File Info > Wave it would speed up my task.

Otherwise adding Apply button would also help.

But I don't suggest to use advanced tag editor...

You can load multiple files and switches between it inside "File information" dialog, without pressing F4 on each file:

Ctrl+Shift+Tab

It works only if "file info" is already open. When hot key "Ctrl+Shift+Tab" is pressed it switches from "Basic" to "Wave".

It would really be awesome if it opens "file info" dialog and switches to Wave onglet.

Thank you I did not know about that. But it is still not practical for my case because I have to press right arrow everytime. And while my waves are about 5 secondes, I have to press right arrow every 5 secondes.

The ideal thing for me is to add a hot key that opens "file info" and switches to "wave" with one hot key.

Again my task is correcting mistakes of translation. for example 10 waves can be good, but the 11th file may contain an error.

I found an alternative solution.

I've set a hot key for "file info" > "ctrl + shift + tab" and then press again "ctrl + shift + tab" to switch to "Wave" onglet.

So at the end i have to press twice "ctrl + shift + tab" to open File info and switch to Wave onglet.

Anyway thank you for your help.
