So i recently got a new phone and installed AIMP on it (the android version) , i sent my files from my computer wich i previously did with another phone and all my cover arts looked perfect, now when i try to do the same with the new phone AIMP just doesn´t show any cover arts for some reason, if you could help me i would really apreciate it. (my old phone ran And 11 the new one with the problem runs And 13 also all my files are .mp4)

Where your cover arts are stored?
-
Directly from the windows tag editor, thats where i edit all my files
-
So, cover arts are stored in file tags, right? Ensure that the "Find in tags" option is switched on (Settings \ Cover Arts)
-
So yeah i double checked and that option was switched on from the start, i also turned it off and on then refreshed the content and still no cover art

The app does not display in even on it own main screen?
-
Nope, it doesnt display it on the app, on the main screen or locked screen, its just the AIMP logo
-
share your music file with cover
-
Dont know if you meant for me to send a file but here it is
-
Yes, you are right. AIMP does not show album art for this file. I will check it.

Thank you so much :)

It seems the issue is related to file access permissions. MP4 is a video file and player cannot take an access to it using native methods (that used for parsing audio files), so it cannot read file structure. I will migrate to high-level restricted access method, it will solve the issue (I hope)

I´ll try converting all my mp4 into mp3 using AIMP see if that solves something
-
Done i think my mp4 files were the problem but is there like a problem when i convert to mp3? like less audio quality or something not being imported?
-
Yes, if you convert one lossy compression file to another lossy compression format, you'll have a loss of quality. To avoid this, you can use a third party programs to separate video and audio streams in your MP4 file. That way you will keep the original quality of the audio stream. In this cases, I'm often using Pazera Free Audio Extractor (https://pazera-software.com/products/audio-extractor/)
