Title: Is shuffle really random

I have used AIMP for years – good program, thank you.

In my computer, I have a folder with 42 subfolders which contain approximately 950 music files in total. Most of the files are FLAC, but some are MP3. All of the files are in my one playlist and the shuffle button is active. However, it seems to me, and I do not have the hard data to prove this, that songs from one folder with 85 files are played more frequently than songs from other folders.

Is this possible? If so, are there any settings I can tweak to make the playing more random?

No, it impossible. The shuffle mode just shuffles the list and play it. As soon as playlist is finished, the app shuffles list again.
