Title: AIMP on Windows - Ripped CD Tracks Are Way Too Long
Post by: BasedZoomer2000 on March 15, 2023, 20:00:33
Hello AIMP community, I'm having a peculiar problem with my ripped CD Tracks; they are wayyyyy too long! Most of my tracks are 5 minutes in length but after being ripped, they are almost an hour in length. I'm currently ripping them with VAR at 320kbps. (The No Gap option is NOT checked.) What am I doing wrong here?! Lol.

(See attached image; this Amon Tobin track should be 7 minutes, not nearly 60!)

What software was used for CD Ripping? Usually it may happened with MP3 with variable bitrate if file does not contains VBR header section that contains an information about track duration. AIMP's converter always write VBR header for the tracks to prevents from this issue.

Hi Artem,

I used AIMP's Audio Converter application, however, I was in-fact using ABR; this combined with the 'No Gap' option being unchecked was creating the issue.

Simply put... it was user error on my end, but I still greatly appreciate the response and am loving AIMP on Windows so far!!!
