Title: Playback options
Post by: musimath on December 05, 2022, 00:25:29
Hello. I am using an AUNE USB Mini DAC-Amplifier connected to a 64-bit Windows 10 Sony VAIO laptop. I am trying to optimize sound quality.
When I choose in AIMP Playback options WASAPI: Windows default, or WASAPI: Speakers (USB Audio DAC), I get the following parameters: 48000 Hz, 32 Bit, but if I choose WASAPI Exclusive (Event): Speakers (USB Audio DAC) the second parameter changes to 16 Bit. In any case, when I play HiRes audio files (e.g. 192 kHz, 32 Bit) I get the following data from AIMP Options:
Input: 192000 Hz / 32 Bit (Float)
Output: 48000 Hz / 32 Bit
Is it possible to get 192000 Hz output?
Thank you.

Output is depended from capabilities of your hardware. In exclusive mode, AIMP uses DAC directly and blocks an access to other applications. In shared mode (default), AIMP uses OS-default output settings (it can be changed in Windows OS's control panel)
