Title: Putting an end to Aimp to keep looking for updates

Hello everyone. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Sp1 with 2.61 build 583. I recently changed some of the hardware in my computer and installed a brand-new copy of Windows. I've been receiving notifications to upgrade my aimp for a very short time, but I don't want. How can I stop aimp from checking if there is a newer version and, if necessary, how to stop showing me the new update? I appreciate your time and look forward to your response or solution!

2.61 has a bug with update checking delay. One way to disable it is unload the update checker plugin... but, why you don't want to migrate to newest version?
