Title: AIMP on Chromebook
Post by: Michal on July 12, 2022, 14:52:31
Hi everyone!

I have Aimp installed on my Chromebook Acer R11 C738T (Android 9). Normally Chrome OS resamples all reproduced audio frequencies to 48kHz on the output. Does Aimp skip Chrome resampling, i.e. when I have a given frequency set in Aimp in the sound engine, e.g. 44.1kHz, the same frequency is on the output? Or does it not skip Chrome resampling and Aimp execute another resampling 48kHz from Chrome to the frequency that is set in Aimp sound engine?

The freq in AIMP is just a suggestion for OS. It may be changed by OS if necessary.

Why AIMP for Chrome / Android can't be bit-perfect? Is it fixable in the next update?
