Title: [x] [2388] Sort playlist using template on change it content" doesn't work
Post by: Voxtopass on June 02, 2022, 03:23:38
When I try to set the setting in the title (from Preferences->Playlist) and press "Apply" or "OK", the setting unchecks itself. Anytime I play an album, it opens in the "Local Files" playlist, but it is sorted according to how I have my music library set. If I manually sort the playlist, it sorts correctly, until I open a new album.

I don't think this is how this used to work, and I think I used to be able to check this setting, and I'm pretty sure I could have my music library and "local files" playlist sorted differently. Am I wrong? Is there another setting that is incompatible with this one?

I even tried manually editing the .ini file, but it resets itself too.

Thanks.

Yes, this is correct. Music library overrides default sorting for playlist that creates by itself. If you want to keep playlist settings, use the "add to active playlist" option instead of "play selected" command in music library.

Okay, thank you, but that still doesn't sort them.

Also, does that mean the setting in the menu (in the title of this post) is supposed to be impossible to turn on? Can I ask what it's used for then?

is supposed to be impossible to turn on?

It seems like a bug. Now I have published a nightly build contained fix for this issue.
