Title: Replay Gain & Peak Normalization manual, tutorial?
Post by: MusicLover on May 06, 2022, 22:03:47
Hi, I'm trying to find a Replay Gain and Peak Normalization manual or tutorial of AIMP for Android, but I could not find any help or link in the app or the AIMP website and forum.

Can somebody tell me where I can find it, or provide me a little description and advice to use these features?

Thank you so much for your help.

Both are volume normalization methods with different strategy:
1. Peak-based normalization takes a maximal peak as a target and increase/decrease a volume level to the target. In this case clipping is prevented.
2. Replay Gain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain) works with perceived loudness of audio (~"average loudness"), so it tries to increase/decrease perceived loudness to target value (default is 89 dB sound pressure level). Clipping may happens.
