Title: smart playlist odd behaviour
Post by: GeRag on April 16, 2022, 17:14:38
I have the newes Version of AIMP i.e. aimp_5.02.2370 on a Windows 10 machine.

I have entered a specific playlist at d:\music\playlist.m3u as a smart playlist. I have checked the option to check for changes at the start of the programme. When I close AIMP, replace d:\music\playlist.m3u with a different one and then restart AIMP the new playlist is active, however the starting position is at a random point and not at the beginning of the playlist. (random play is not activated!).
Is there any way this can be remedied, i.e. I would like the starting position to be at the first song when the new playlist is loaded.

Player tries to keep playback position that was before the closing. So, when playlist re-loaded, player trying to find the entry with same file name that was played before closing and sets playback cursor to it.

Thank you for clearing this up. :)

So I guess there is no workaround or setting that can change this behaviour.  8)
