Title: PC sleeping while playing, not staying awake.
Post by: KraakBal on December 13, 2021, 12:37:50
Greetings from South Africa.

On my new AMD laptop (5800H, win10 21H2) the PC will go to sleep while playing.

In windows, it is set to make pc go to sleep after 5min idle (which is correct and what I want)
I am sure this did not happen on my old i5-3570k desktop PC.

Not sure if intended behavior? I have tried playing around with power options, but no luck.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I also have the same issue.

AIMP only has an option to prevent the display from going to sleep, but it can't prevent the entire computer from going to sleep.

PC will not go to sleeping mode if display is not sleeping...

When I work I am using RustDesk to remote control my PC. It then doesn't output to physical display, only remote desktop.

At 40 minutes, Windows 10 power saving feature kicks in a puts the computer to sleep, despite remote desktop and despite AIMP playing.
