First of all I wa searching for this settings in the "Playlist" section of the menu, which would make much more sense IMHO ;-) When I found the settings it is set to "jump to next playlist", so why the behavior is repeat the same playlist? Looks like a bug to me... I will set it to "do nothing"

How many playlists do you have? If you have only one playlist, then the player cannot jump to the next one and he start repeating the existing one.

how many playlists? Sorry I am not an expert in this player, I just play some music from time to time :D I use the left side tree to find something, then usually do right click - play all. So you tell me, how many playlist should that make and where do I see that? :D On the right side there is "local files" - is this a playlist?
