It would be nice to be able to change the location of the profile folder. I'm using a dual-boot system, so it would be good if I could put the profile folder could not on the system drive.
-
You can use sym links for doing that.
-
My dual boot is Windows 7 and W10. When I boot one, the other doesn't have drive letter, to disable any access to the files.
-
Try use portable install, when profile folder same player folder.
-
Then I will loose all my settings?
-
Why? You can copy user setting in common portable version.
-
But can I transfer it from the installed version to the portable version?
-
Yes. You can move/copy settings folder from AppData to AIMP portable folder (AIMP\Profile).
-
Apparently setting on the portable version don't get preserved as well as on the installed version:
"Attention! This app edition has no installer that means it may not import settings from previous versions correctly. So, we do not recommend to install this version over app of previous generation (v4.60 or older)"
Is there a reason why you don't wont to make the location of the profile folder changeable? I use this features in most of my programs, and it help me to access the same profile from both boot partitions.

"no installer" and "portable" are not the same
