Title: AIMP comes to foreground when skipping track via media keys
Post by: marcurelio on October 10, 2020, 17:11:46
Hi, maybe this is too specific, but I had to ask.

While using my PC (Windows 10 64 bit), with AIMP (v 4.70 build 2233) on the foregroung, I will click on another window (Chrome or Word or whatever) and start working. But when I skip to next track using media keys on my keyboard or the earphones button, AIMP window will come to the foreground. The wya to prevent it is to minimize AIMP. Is there any way to change this behavior, so AIMP "understands" that I want it on the background?

It works good here, using a multimedia keyboard and AIMP v4.70, build 2227, Windows 10 2004 64-bit.

Make sure the multimedia keys are correctly set in Options - Player - Hot keys, as global shortcuts.

It could cause the multimedia keyboard software, if you don't use it, you ca try to disable it, or uninstall it.

You can try another software for keyboard shortcuts, I'm using HotkeyP, it's lightweight, free and easy to use, more info in Help. You can assign even mouse shortcuts there, to change volume, mute, play/pause and so on, with the side button+wheel, left, right, middle button, for example.
