Running latest AIMP v4.70, build 2227 and when I insert an audio CD to play the cd information is is not displayed. Just shows the following instead of going off to the internet database and displaying the disc info. CD name, artist and track names for the inserted Audio CD.
Audio Track 1
Audio Track 2
Audio Tracl 3
ETC
Compact Disk Digital Audio Plugin is enabled. May have turned off CDDB lookup in the past but and if I did I can't see any settings related to this or how to enable.

Yep, the FreeDB service is dead. We will replace it via Musicbrainz in next update.
Of course, you can download nightly build (https://www.aimp.ru/?do=download&os=windows&cat=nightly) and try it now.

Was the switch to MusicBrainz completed? I do not see AIMP in the list of players (https://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Enabled_Applications) supporting MusicBainz.
-
Yes, it completed.

Thank you for answering. I am having problems with AIMP retrieving the proper information for a 3 CD album. I am using V4.70.2236 in windows 10 64 bit. When I put CD 1 in, AIMP correctly retrieves that CD info and artwork. When I place CD 2 or CD 3 in the computer AIMP only shows the file info for CD 1 and the correct artwork. Is there somewhere to see if AIMP is correctly pointing at MusicBrainz or do I need another plugin?
Thanks again

Can you send to me a logs from these disc that generate the following tool: https://yadi.sk/d/ebXDa4iNPBKbiQ ?
-
Here are the log files of all 3 CD's.
-
Is there any news on this issue?
-
Oh, looks like I miss you answer. I will check the log today. Thank you.

How you adding the files to a playlist? Via the "Add CD" menu item or like a local files?
-
I am not sure I understand your question. I have tried 1) going to the Menu > Open Files (and selecting all the files) opening all the files on the CD and 2) right clicking in playlist area >Add > Files (and selecting all the files).
In all cases AIMP shows the correct album cover but always the songs from CD !. CD ! and 2 have 18 songs each but CD 3 has 10 songs. When I put in CD 2 AIMP shows the songs from CD 1. In the case of playing CD 3, AIMP shows the first 10 songs of CD 1.
I do not see an "Add CD" in the AIMP menu.
-
So, it displays incorrect data in playlist only or for playing track too?
-
The playlist and the track playing both display the incorrect information when I play either CD 2 or CD 3.
-
So I do not know if this helps but I ripped the files with EAC V1.6 and it downloads the correct CD info for CD's 2 and 3. This corresponds to the log files which appear to show 3 different CDs.
Then I tried a different 2 CD album in AIMP and it correctly retrieved both CD's information.
Is the problem unique to this 3 CD album?
-
I think our audio converter will load info for all CDs correctly too. I think that issue in a file info cache system, because files has same names and paths, but different physical drives. So, player does not take this fact into account.

Just ran into this problem with several 2-CD albums - first CD is read correctly, second CD shows the information of the first/previous CD.
Updated to the latest version (V 4.70, build 2250 / 19.5.2021)
The "Compact Disk Digital Audio Plugin" is active.
Tried to find something in the options that may prevent the cache to be emptied or the CD informations being read correctly - couldn't find anything.
Added the CDs using different methods (1. Explorer - Open - select & right-click files, "Open with AIMP" / 2. Use AIMP menu "Add" > CD/DVD) (Choosing "Play" directly from the drive icon in the Windows Explorer side menu always opens the Windows Media Player, which I'm not able to change to use AIMP as my default player for CDs... ??? )
Restarted AIMP - no difference.
Restarted my machine - no difference.
Any news on this issue?

FreeDB service is dead.

Musicbrainz is already supported, but disk must have a musicbrainz id
