Title: AIMP display Now Playing (as overlay) for streaming on Twitch (e.g. via OBS)
Post by: Nigrutin on April 26, 2020, 18:28:20
Hello everyone,

I am not sure whether to phrase this post as a question, suggestion or a request, I guess it's a bit of all. AIMP is an amazing music player, especially how efficient it is with hardware use. This
makes AIMP one of the go to, if not the number one, music player for streamers. Especially true for streamers that play console games, due to the necessity of capturing their console video output and broadcasting through PC. I hope I haven't missed a discussion that addresses something similar or the same request/question. In essence is it possible to integrate the AIMP Now playing display to OBS with the API/SDK, or would anyone be up for this task? Regardless if a response is a hint, pointing in the right direction or someone with the capability and willingness to do this, I thank you in advance.  :D :D

Use the plugin Current Track Info to Any v1.0 (https://www.aimp.ru/?do=catalog&rec_id=358) to write Now playing string to a file and add it as source in OBS.
