Title: Electro v1.1 (All-In-One) [AIMP3]
Post by: electro on October 10, 2014, 04:43:48
[catalog_card=609]

Hi. Here's my first AIMP skin, Electro. I tried to make it as efficient, clean and simple as possible.

Some notes:
▪ The skin is resizable by width and height.
▪ Most buttons turn to yellow when the mouse cursor is over them.
▪ It looks the best with visualisation enabled. (You can find some visuals on AIMP' site (https://aimp.ru/index.php?do=catalog&rec_id=36))
▪ You can click the Track Position area (it's right next of Visualisation) to switch between Current Track Position and Remaining Track Position.
▪ The functions of the 8 buttons from top-right: QM - queue manager, INFO - quick file info, REP - Repeat, SHF - Shuffle, TAG - tag editor, REC - record (capture) radio stream, EQL - equalizer, MENU - main menu.
▪ This skin has 5 shortcuts:
- right click on EQL -> mute volume;
- right click on Volume Bar (both on main player and on mini player) -> volume level at maximum;
- right click on Playlists List -> next playlist;
- right click on MENU button -> preferences;
- double click on top of the window -> minimize.

I hope you like it.

Version 1.1:
▪ The default width of the skin is now 500px (smaller with 50px than before).
▪ Smaller tab width.
▪ The Play/Pause button now changes to yellow when a track it's playing.
▪ Changed the font of TrackPosition/TrackRemaining.
▪ Lighter button icons for a better contrast.
▪ Darker background for playlist and quick search.
▪ Added 4 buttons: QM (shows the Queue Manager), Tag (shows Quick Tag Editor window), Rec (records radio streams), Info (shows the QFI).
▪ Removed the Mute and Repeat A-B buttons.
▪ Rearranged the buttons from right side area (Rep, Shf, EQL, etc).
▪ Removed the small cover art.
▪ Improved the mini player, context menu and the QFI.
▪ The mini player is also resizable by width.
▪ Now when the player is stopped it shows AIMP3 instead empty Artist/Title/Duration tag.
▪ Added 4 shortcuts:
- Mute volume now could be activated with a right click on EQL;
- A right click on the Volume Bar (both on main player and on mini player) sets the volume level at maximum;
- Next playlist could be activated with a right click on Playlists List;
- The Preferences window could be activated with a right click on MENU button.
▪ Some other minor changes.

Do you mean "Electro" or that the skin is All-In-One?

Under the "Electro" I seen something with zippers

In this case, Electro was supposed to be a short version for Electronic.  :D

Hi. I established a cover as the main worker, but it would be desirable to add some functions, for example: to add the counter of time of playing of a track and also that when aiming at a strip of scrolling (SeekBar), progress not as a percentage, and in minutes and seconds was displayed.
You could make these additions or send me on e-mail the project that I could make the necessary changes independently. Thanks.

Hi.

1. "to add the counter of time of playing of a track". But it isn't already one (right next to the visualisation area)? Or do you mean something different? By the way, you can click that Track Position area to switch between Current Track Position and Remaining Track Position.

2. "progress not as a percentage, and in minutes and seconds was displayed". OK. I'm working on the version 1.1 that will have some changes, including this one. Also I'll replace the Mute button (useless IMO) with a Tag button that shows the Quick Tag Editor for the selected file(s).

Hi.

1. Yes, you understood correctly. Another counter to the left of logo. I need it for more accurate tracking Progresa track playback.

2. At the expense of a button, I think it is still worth saving, or move it to an icon instead of the icon of the album, as it is very small and confusing him with not a lot, but there mute button will look harmonious, just above the volume control. Either make mute, right-click on the volume control.

And if possible, it would be very cool to reduce the width of the skin for greater compactness and convenience. For example by reducing the width of the tabs playlists. Unnecessarily skin fully is not All-In-One, I think these dimensions only hurt him.

Well, you can call the skin Electro Pro for example  ;)

P/s And yet, it would be nice if when playing a track, play button somehow stand out, such as glow when you hover over it with your mouse. When you want to quickly enable, disable, switch tracks, sometimes it is not clear whether or not the track is playing.

The skin will become too crowded.

I'll make the mute right-click on the volume control. I don't think there's really needed a mute button. I simply pause the playback or turn the volume control to minimum with just one click if I don't want sound.

I'll keep the current dimensions. But I can send you a special version with 2 counters and a reduced size. What size do you want (width in pixels)?

It would be too distracting. But I'll make the play/pause button to change depending if it's play or pause.

Yes, send please. I think width 460px or about that, would be enough.

I will agree to the account of the rest, but the mute function, I think it is necessary to leave after all, the right button of a mouse it will be right.

Thanks.

Sorry, I tried to resize it but it seems that many elements need to be resized too.

Though, I send you through PM a version with two counters. Also the Mute function could be activated with a right click on the Volume control.

Yes, thanks. Counters, mute and scrolling that is necessary. There is one more nuance which it would be desirable to change, т.к in my opinion it is beaten out from an overall picture and makes callous an eye, it is a strip of allocation of the lost track when the strip is on a track which is lost at present, at a track tags from below aren't displayed. I don't know, can do it such counter, but it seems to me is allocated from the general background. If to you it isn't difficult, you couldn't eliminate this moment.

That was an error in matching some colors.

Check again the PM. I added also a feature: when a track is playing, the Play/Pause button is yellow. Plus many little improvements that will appear in the version 1.1 of this skin.
