I think it's time for a "Thank you"-thread. A lot of work has been put in this nice audioplayer.

Even more, my mom, who does with computers bad, can use aimp cause it`s intuitivity.

Winamp was a synonym of audioplayer, but ten or twelve years ago - now it`s really Aimp - Winamp is owned.

Things that bothered me about it were that it became bloated and a bit of resource hog.
Out of boredom, I decided to tryout other audio players, for the first time in 10 years.

After reading a few reviews I decided which ones I was going to test.
The first came AIMP3, and it surpassed my expectations so much, that there was no second.

Features I like the most are grouping by folders, playlist tabs, and its simple design.
It starts up quickly, it takes up very little resources, and it has all the necessary customization options.
Every change applies instantly, no need for restarts and similar time consuming stuff.

This is indeed a very nice piece of software.

I've been a happy Winamp user since 1999, but since it was announced recently that it will be shut down, I started looking for alternatives. Thus I found AIMP3 to be an excellent replacement: smart, lightweight, flexible, robust, and free. As a software developer, I'm amazed by the amount of effort that has been put in the main product and its support applications (skin editor, language editor, SDK, etc.).

Wimap's demise is a good opportunity for AIMP to grow in terms of market share and general awareness, and I hope it will become soon one of the major audio players for PC and mobile.

I join the thanking community! AIMP is a great player, offering a really pure sound - just the way I like my music to be. It took me quite a while to find AIMP but when I discovered its homepage and downloaded it, I realized I don't need anything else. Winamp and JetAudio are light years behind AIMP sound quality level.

I downloaded today Aim4 and I was amazed by the new interface.
I really never liked the old one, and all the skins I tried never gave me what I wanted: A clear, understandable interface without small tiny cryptic buttons.

Thank you for an amazing player with low memory footprint and fast performance with great features.

Also a big thanks for the skin editior application which made what I need possible by creating it myself.

I especially love the ability to customize skins via the Skin Editor (but I wish more skin authors would post project files!), and the streaming radio stations performance--AIMP's ability to save streams in chosen format, automatically adding a basic tag, ability to permanently set station name in playlist, etc. Very large community of skin and visualization developers too, thanks to all.

Dear AIMP developers I dunno from which cloud you came down to us simple mortal beings puuhh! May be there's danger from outside tying to eat away this 'angel' status? Then I would shout out: 'hey Mr. Putin take this chance and give them all they need to save Russias reputation all over the world! There will come no better chance'! :-)

Keep it up you AIMP people! There is genius in developing really working software by practising surprising understatement. Puhh I just love it!

It did everything that I've always wished Winamp could do for years, especially when it came to tagging and renaming music files. For example, I shuddered from the library of old unmarked MP3s that were queued for me to type... each. one. in for tagging and renaming. Double work if you will. Now I can get it all organized as soon as I fill in the tag info and viola, renames my file(s) with a click of a button. AIMP has my support since they easily won me over.

To sum it all up- THANK YOU AIMP!! :)

Post by: Fanny on June 05, 2020, 23:33:40: I fell in love at first side with this player, around 9 years ago, and since then, I couldn't use another one, ever. And I'm still in love with it, everyday, every moment that I use it! And all these new plugins that even! improve it! Impressive!

I run a library of 500gb of music on my pc, as well as many online streaming adresses, and it has never given me the slightest real problem, whith a better or a worse hardware structure.

Конечно же нет, да и исходный код Winamp утек лишь совсем недавно

If the translations in the new modules are added with the release candidates, the app is perfect. Thanks to the development team and also for the patience in fixing the issues in the previous version. :)

I had some trouble moving my android playlists to Windows but I finally did it by reading this forum and finding the "Find missing Files" Option on Windows.

Many Thanks once again and I hope you will keep this Project going for many years in the future. There is no other player as good as yours.

Когда-то давно мне, как и многим, полюбился Винамп версий 2,7-2.8, имеющий отличный функционал, компактность, удобство. В те времена поражал своими возможностями, ведь являлся аналогом дорогостоящей аппаратной техники. Затем вышла 5-я версия, которая имела огромный, неуклюжий дизайн, множество багов. Кто-то принял это обновление, а кто-то остался не доволен, включая меня. Через какое время я стал искать альтернативы и мне попался начинающий проект АИМП, который был без рекламы, бесплатным, нативно русскоязычным, а главное, имел дизайн и функционал аналогичный классическому винампу. С тех самых пор я не изменял АИМПу (если не считать, естественно фубара2000, когда мне требовалась не просто музыка, а суперфункционал, суперконвертация и т.д.). Мобильная версия монопольно радует мой слух. За все эти годы ремонтируемые мною компьютеры оснащались по дефолту этим крутым плеером. Подсадил на него и свою жену - на всех мобильниках, ПК, даже на работе АИМП!

Я очень рад и горд, что все эти годы проект не только существует, но и развивается, не потерял своей бесплатности, антирекламности, человечности, сохранил классический стиль, легкий вес и идеальный функционал. Стационарная и мобильные версии никогда не зависают, не вылетают, просто работают и работают. Настолько привык в этому, что даже не обращаю внимание, будто АИМП это продолжение операционной системы.

Обожаю классический скин, который вы не удаляете уже много-много версий (спасибо!!!), гениальное решение с мини-панелью, в которую сворачивается плеер (для работы очень удобно).

Очень аккуратный, стильный и приличный сайт. Какой порядок во всём!

Огромное человеческое спасибо команде, особенно Артему! Здоровья вам, вашим семьям, стабильности и благополучия в это штормовое время! Я бы проголосовал за Артема на пост президента РФ, ведь "рыба гниет с головы", а у него вон какой порядок и стабильность уже почти 20 лет подряд! Молодцы! Тьфу-тьфу на вас))
